Director's Statement:

"Will You Have Any Regrets ?" was created on the brink of losing my aunt to lung disease. It now lives as the final voicemail to her that I would never make. We had a falling out and hadn't spoken in years, and I always felt guilty that my mother distanced herself from her sister in my defense. As I watched my mother grieve her baby sister, I felt that maybe my parents' lives would be easier if I wasn't around to make things worse. My aunt's death came shortly after the 7th anniversary of her brother's suicide which last rocked our family. I found myself spiraling and experiencing a new kind of grief. I felt so profoundly different than how I felt after my uncle's death. It was a different kind of helplessness: met with an adult-like perception of loss I hadn't had before. At the center of "Will You Have Any Regrets ?" is a story of depression, guilt, fear, and how life becomes a limbo of waiting for the next horrifying phone call when death becomes all you know.
